PRESIDENT'S WELCOME

Welcome to the New York Conference! It is my pleasure to greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The mission and purpose of our conference, churches, schools, camp, and other related ministries is simple:
To teach the everlasting gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as symbolized by the three angels of Revelation 14. To lovingly evangelize and invite people to become His disciples and responsible members of the Church.
"Disciple" is a word that seems to have fallen out of use in the vocabularies of some Christians today. However, I believe it is one that is critical in the Christian experience. There's a difference between a follower and a disciple.
A follower will listen and follow, but a disciple will seek to do more than that. A disciple chooses to follow emulate, and copy their Master, but the goal for the disciple is not just to follow, but to learn, in order to someday disciple others. Jesus wants disciples, not just followers.
By God's grace we seek to invite people to become disciples of Jesus and to disciple others according to the truth that God has shared with them.
