Education Superintendent

Description:

     The New York Conference operates elementary and secondary schools throughout Upstate New York. The

     Education Superintendent will be expected to handle all administrative functions for this territory including, but not

     limited to, evaluating employees, obtaining qualified teachers for openings, perform other human resource

     functions, be a leader in academic visioning, coordinating with the other departments in the conference and with

     the Atlantic Union Education Department, and training of education personnel. All candidates must be committed

     Seventh-day Adventists in good and regular standing who have a passion for Adventist Education. They must also

     be willing to be a member of a cooperative team as well as a leader in their department, both in administration and

     in spiritual nurturing of employees.

Experience:

     Current denominational certification required. Master’s degree in an education field such as administration or 

     leadership is preferred. Candidate must have a breadth of experience in the denominational education system.

     Administrative experience preferred. Experience with technology and distance-learning platforms is necessary.
